A Faery Tells
Of Winter Winds & Frosted Rains
All brought together as Snowy Grains.
What a wonder this Magickal Fusion makes,
Whenever we gaze upon these tiny flakes.
Here is another story from Little Arum Lily who wishes all a Blessed Yule & Merry Christmas.
It is the Time of Yule, the Winter Solstice, when the Day is the shortest and the Night at its longest. On this Night the Faeries of the Golden Glen celebrate the beginning of a New Season and the return of the Light.
They recount tales and stories of other Yule nights but one tale in particular has been a long favorite. So sit back and sip your favorite Winter brew and listen as Arum Lily shares another story as only "A Faery Tells".
Many Eons ago as the Earth and all its Realms were still forming and the Four Seasons had not yet begun, Father Winter gazed upon Mother Spring and fell deeply in Love with Her magnifcent beauty. He could not bear to be without Her loving warmth. He courted Her for many Moons until finally She took notice of Him and then She too fell in Love with His many charms. Their courtship and romance was a sight to see for wherever They went everything came into bloom, birds began to sing as all of Nature instantly responded to Their presence. But alas this splendid romance was doomed as it was affecting everything in Nature, one minute hot then next instant cold. Nothing could survivie these two extreme. For Mother Spring brought new awakenings, birth and growth and Father Winter brought the harvest, slumber and cold. The balance of Nature needed to be put in place. Upon seeing the chaos that Their Love was manifesting Mother Spring and Father Winter made a pact to ensure the balance of the Earth and allow the Four Seasons to come forth. This was necessary to allow Nature to thrive in all the Realms. Mother Spring would spend the Fall and winter with Father Winter and then depart in the Spring and Summer. This agreement was quickly put in place and the Four Seasons started their rotations. Mother Spring looked forward to Her time with Father Winter and enjoyed Her time with Him. When Her time to leave came She left without looking back. She cried bitterly for days on end because She missed Him so much. One day while She was spreding Her Loving warmth She came upon a wondrous gift nestled in Her flowers. A beautiful object made of glass and shaped like a ball. As She picked up this ball it started to swirl with tiny golden flakes and She could clearly see that there were two figures entwined in a loving embrace. Mother Spring was overjoyed with this gift and knew immediately that it had been made by Father Winter. She could now endure the months ahead knowing that Their time together as brief as it might be would return each year forever. This beginning of the Four Seasons allowed the Earth and all Its Realms to settle into Peace and Harmony. The Little Magickal Snow Globe has become a symbol of Hope and Faith as it contains within in its swirling glow the Promise that Love will always reign Supreme.
